just hold different bits of trim in the car. try the stereo surround. try the dials, check you dont have a zippo lighter in the side of your door, check there is no loose change in the cup holders, check there is nothing in your glove box.

i had 2 of the brand new corsa sxi's as courtesy cars. all with dilvery mileage. lets just say they sounded like they were a 200k diesel when id finished with them. embrace it, nothing is faster than a courtesy car.

take the GFX card out (if you have onboard graphics too) and try turning it on again. Also take your ram out. ram errors can cause the fan coming on. if you unplugged the mobo make sure the ATX power cable is back in (assuming its an ATX motherboard)

Okay. So I've felt like something was wrong for a week or 2 and thought my wheel bearing had gone. Turns out that's okay. Thought my arb bushes were gone. Also fine. Now I've just jacked the car up outside to find that when spinning the wheel it sounds like a cog. Not very loud at all but...
