could be cool with a 182 bumper actually the exhaust would be a pain though because of the spare wheel well. Personally would just go for a 172 bumper and get a recessed system made into the bumper :)

They would probs respray the whole bumper spesh with it being silver :S £180-£200 at a guess (for the whole bumper) , bodyshop spraying prices can vary drastically! Just wet sand it and do it yourself you pussy ;)

So its got a k-tec 182 lookalike exhaust thing by the sounds of it ? 182 have two seperate backboxes IIRC, both of which are positioned straight.

One thing. You said "hi , this is the second 172 i have owned" It has twin exit exhausts, Isn't it a 182 ? although it does have 172 wheels. Confusion!

Oh the scuttle panel ? Havent got a clue how to remove that sorry :( never needed to... i thought there was a pipe sticking out the side of the washer bottle tbh... maybe its different on the RS's ? to the 1.4 16v's ? if you suspect the blockage to be higher up in the system can you disconnect...

Well i was actually joking :o But apart from swallowing copious ammounts of halfords screen wash i guess it might actually work, if you have a really strong puff you might even clear the blockage! I would in all seriousness give it a go you never know :) as for the plastic cover im not 100%...
