I'm going to painting up the engine next month and was wondering if I remove them would i have to get new gaskets for head-inlet and inlet-plenum? If so i'm guessing it would be a good time to get matched inlets and PTFE? Thinking about popping to CNC heads and getting them to do it. Is it a...

Could you not run the tubing from the middle of the K&N and down to the wheel arch?

Think it's arguable mate. Unless someone runs lots of different ones on a roller to see which is best we will never know :)

use the high temp to be safe mate. That ebay stuff is what i was looking at for my engine bay.

What you spend the 250quid on mark? Looks good. Did you get the exhaust heat wrapped while it was on? or did they have to remove the mani and do it off the car? New gasket etc?

i think the stainless end of the exhaust (the visible bits) aren't welded on, so in theory you probably could.

quite supprising i guess, but i'm sure a proper standing start it would be different. In a race the porche would abuse the m6. Did you never see topgear when they raced the m6, v8 vantage and porche carrera S (so not a turbo). Porche won by a mile. Rolling starts don't prove anything really...

if you're pressing the clutch in then the revs should go down unless you aren't taking your foot off the accellerator quick enough ;) Can't see why it would be anything to do with clutch failure tbh. Might be sticking maybe?

You had to remove the fuel rail guard mate? Have you used the standard ph2 elbow? or is that the elbow off the v6?

Better filter will make marginal difference, but again you'll not really notice it when driving. RR might show it up - 1bhp or something. Better filters can be cleaned though, so its an investment. I'm pondering over the ktec or the ITG myself.

They've got quite a stiff chassis anyway, but its not going to make it worse so if you like the look of them why not.

I've got one of them already, but going to get hold of the v6 one and see which i prefer. thanks for the offer though ;)
