Same here mate. I also found the magnets in the craddle rattled so I took that to bits and put a small piece of blue tak in there to stop it.
They do different facias for them now so Im hoping they do one with rubber buttons. I cant believe they didnt use rubber ones in the first place. Some...
I purchased my 172 from them in March of last year as at the time dealers werent doing any deals. It all worked out great for me, they had a few in stock and a choice of colours. I recently traded it in for a 182 and got a grand less trade in than if it had been a UK car, but I paid a lot less...
No sorry Lee, Im waiting until Ive given it a good waxing. You know what it looks like anyway. Its just a common 182. ;)
If Im not too hung over this weekend Ill do it then otherwise it will be the following weekend. I dont want to start the job if I know I have to rush it.
I did take a...
I really like the Anthracite wheels against the Arctic Blue. Everyone whos seen mine has commented on how good they look.
I cant imagine well see many running around with different wheels on. Its not like they are as bad as the Mk2 172 wheels.
Buying from Motorpoint you wont be able to specify the Cup options, which Im sure you would want on the car. Plus youll only really be able to go with what they have in stock, so none of the I.D. colours will be available.
Price wise you should be able to get a good deal out of a main dealer...
Its more likely work wasnt carried out on the car at a Renault dealership or not at all and therefore the book has no stamps, so they choose to say its lost.
If they can produce receipts for work then thats not too bad.
They vary massively from year to year. The AA put mine up £600 for no reason on my 172 and couldnt explain why. They were even sorry they were doing it, and even more so when I cancelled!!
The first time I spoke to Tesco they wanted to charge me a lot more for the Cup pack. When the car arrived and I changed my cover I told them it had the factory fitted Cup options and they just said no problem. They asked me if it was how it left the factory, which of course it is.
The Cup...
Mate the guy on the other end of the phone hadnt got a clue. I dont think he knew what he was looking at on his screen.
Its ordered now and should be here within the next couple of days. I had to leave my credit card number as they reckon if they have ordered the wrong one I still have to...
Thanks to Edde I have an autochanger cable for the existing head unit in my 182 and the autochanger I removed from my 172. The cable has however been cut and rejoined.
When I connect it up it powers the unit but isnt recognised by the head unit as being there. Is there something I need to...
I think Ill wait for it to gain a few more faults and get them all done at once.
I have to admit, the fact it rarely starts first time is pis*ing me off.
I called Renault Birmingham about an autochanger cable the other day and they asked for my VIN number!!! I dont trust these people with...
I know Jon. My 172 went in 3 times for it and in the end they admitted defeat.
Ill just put up with it rather than have them pulling bits off my new car.
If you corner it hard and fast Dave, especially on an uneven surface there is a knocking from the front suspension.
Another thing mine does, which the 172 didnt, is as I reverse off my drive with the steering turned to the right, as the car drops from the kerb to the road there is a loud clunk...
It must be just you, because 2 weeks on and a 1000 miles and mine has almost as many rattles as my 172 had.
Not to mention it never starts first time and still has knocking suspension strut top thingys.
Good job its such a great looking little car which puts a massive smile on my face...
I noticed the other day when on the motorway that the speed the cruise is set to is pretty much dead on the speed which the GPS speedo on my b2 is showing.
I agree with funkyjahooner. The speedo is out by a few mph but this increases at speeds in excess of 100mph, but the cruise is pretty...
Some people seem to have had success with this while others had to get the extra antena. I went for the b2 as I knew it was seperate and that once Id installed it in the car Id not want to move it to another car, so the GPS antena in the back works a treat.
I see you can now select Inferno on the 182 using the Clio configurator on the Renault site.
Ill look forward to seeing one of those out on the roads. Looks a nice colour, though not really for me. Im boring and like blue. LOL...
