Being a nob here but whats hubcentric mean? I know you can get spacers that bolt to the hub, then you bolt the wheel to the spacer....... is that them? If not what are they called :o

Check where the earth strap bolts to the car chassis. Bet its either loose, or badly corroded. I would un bolt it, clean up the area (course sandpaper file etc) then re attatch

Yes RR you do take with a pinch of salt, but the point i'm making is the 197's were run at the same place (same day) as the MK2's and made their power. The MK2's didnt, and seldom do. Your reading is (imo) high. Most 182's make circa 170bhp ish. Were other Clios ran at the same time?

Yep pretty much the basics. Rinse as much of the car down as you can, freeing as much stuck on dirt as possible. Then starting at the roof, get your wash mitt nice and foamy i the shampoo bucket, and wipe over. Then dip the mitt into a clean bucket to clean off the mitt, then repeat shapooing...

^+2 I'd never leave it to chance, if that fails or even if the AUX belt fails and takes the cambelt with, will = big bucks, and the wallet feeling a LOT lighter

Yep. My car had covered 12k when i bought it. The previous owner put some proper ditch finders on to sell it, soon replaced them with the Cont 3's, much much better.

Done an advanced course though work a few yrs ago. Really recommend it tbh. They tell you things your not told on lessons/tests etc. Makes you more aware of how to read the road alot further ahead, looking for possible dangers etc, how to avoid possible dangers arising etc.... Dont get me wrong...
