When he asked about mods and I said the exhaust, he said let us know if you want to lower it or fit an IK, we also do track day cover if you need it.:D
Looks like its all sorted then. Ill go with Greenlight and have loads more to spend on Cliosport meets and beer. :D
They have beaten my best quote so far by over £300.
Cheers Rich and Si. Ive got to admit, speaking to them on the phone Neil sounded like he knew his stuff, unlike a few other places Ive spoken to today.
One argued that my car was a Renault Clio Sport 172 and only the 182 was a Renault Sport.
The saving Id get from them is so good I have to...
I was just wondering who has taken insurance out with them?
Has anyone had to make a claim while covered by Greenlight?
Ive just had a very favourable quote from them. :D Half what most places have quoted me. :o
Thanks
Lee
£350!!!! Where was that from, I paid £290 for 4 Eagle F1 GD-D3 for the 172 from Kwik Fit.
Either way, worth every penny. :D
Wait until they are run in then in the dry they blow the contis away.
It depends on how busy they are. I had to wait a week for mine. I wanted to pick it up on March the 1st, but so did everyone else. In the end I collected mine on the 5th of March last year.
I bought Blue on from Motorpoint of Derby back in March last year. :D
Mines just gone over 15k and is really starting to fly now. Ill be interested to see what I can pull on the 1/4 mile now.
Enjoy the new car. :D
y0z has Cobra Monaco in his, in blue so they match the car. They look fantastic. Not the most comfortable in the world, but Ive had no ill effects after sitting in them for a couple of hours. Except for a dead bum of course.
Glad I didnt swap mine with yours then.;)
You ask anyone who knows about engines and theyll tell you exactly why you should run it in. Its hard, but stick with it.
Enjoy the new motor. :D
Cheers Chad.
The R Sport ECU doesnt have the functions for controlling the auto wipers, headlamps, ESP etc so will only work in a Cup.
The Superchip for a 172 costs £293.75 with VAT and fitting.
Heres a link to the power graph on there site...
y0z has been running Yoko A359 (i think) on his Cup. He gave mine a drive the other day which is on F1s. He was very impressed, as everyone I know who has swapped to them has been.
Two of my mates, both of which had Bridgestones on their cars from new swapped to them and couldnt believe the...
My mate did that one year when we were driving to Wales for the Rally. The RAC told us not to carry on, obviously we did!! Lucikly it stayed fine for a few weeks, then he crashed the car and got everything done at once.
Excellent, look forward to hearing it, well at least until it makes my ears bleed that is. Any piccies yet? Im not sure how the slash cut would look on the 172. The only one Ive seen so far was a really badly mounted one at Trax.
I could use another run at Power Engineering. It will give a definate answer as to the effects of a cat back system on a 172 then seeing as it wasnt on last time.
