Selling a car with new parts.....

There's no need to say the gearbox had blown up, though. I would advertise it. for sure. Cars break, it's a fact of life. Knowing it's got a new part is one less thing that can go, imo!

    opinions please

Colour looks a lot better in the flesh. Very similar to Flame red. Could you not insure a VTS? £2k will see you a minter!

Who is it thats got the Uber clean 182?

Paul's is the one, although Rich's was by far the cleanest 182. I miss Rich and his OCD.

Clio 182-thread type and size of sump plug ?

The gearbox ones are DEFINITELY magnetic. The engine one I imagine is, but normally they'll have a magnet in the sump iirc. Anyway, if you've got swarf running around, you've got more problems then just the size of the sump plug, lol,

    Rear Hub Nut Size

PMSL. No chance. With mine, a 10T press struggled. It's in there f**king tight! Plus, it needs to come out and go in completely straight, or you'll knacker it, for sure!

    Clio 182 :)

A huge amount depends on the rolling road. There's a guy on here who's just had some work done by K-tec. Made 193 on a reliable RR. Taken to another one local to him, made 204. There's plenty of varients which affect the figure a car will make.

    Clio 182 :)

When you think a standard 182 will NEVER actually make 182bhp, it's massively 'hopeful'. Also, an F4R is pretty pushed already. Getting more BHP isn't as easy as you'd think. Actually, I say for £2k. Coilovers. DS2500's. Uprated fluid. Braided lines.

    Rear Hub Nut Size

Yep. Made of cheese. Every one I've seen comes out in about 20 pieces, lol.

    Clio 182 :)

Take that figure with a huge pinch of salt, mate. For £2k, JMS RS2 manifold and exhaust, imo.

    Rear Hub Nut Size

If it's been in there a while, it'll be worn anyway. And they're a fucker to shift. For the sake of £15 a side-ish, replace.

    Rear Hub Nut Size

It'll be a miracle if the old bearing is saveable. I'd always replace while the back's all stripped down.

Selling a car with new parts.....

Definitely advertise the new parts, imo. Every car I sell, I list everything that's been changed. Same with cars I've bought. I usually ask the person to drive the car for me at least on a test drive. You can see exactly how a car will have been treated, then!

anyone in norwich able to fit my lowering springs for some cash??

Ball joints maybe, as there's ever so slight adjustment, but suspension is fixed. I wouldn't get the tracking done as a matter of course.

That's it. If coming from the Harvester, there's 2 exits to the park. Use the second one. We'll all be parked in there and playing in front of the cars!

Yep. KT16 0NG. Road opposite the Harvester pub. 7.30-8pm?

    Tried bump starting?

172 wont turn over just clicking

If it's earth, you wouldn't even get a click, surely. Give the starter a quick 'tap'. Does it start with a bump? TDC sensor- the engine will turn over but not fire.

    where is a 172 starter motor@?

Back of engine. In front of driver. Under the exhaust manifold, and hidden under a heatshield,,

    Few pics from Bedford yesterday

LOL at how far the wheel is into the arch. Hero driving, right there.

anyone in norwich able to fit my lowering springs for some cash??

Weird. I've changed several sets on my own, and other cars and never had any issues.

How do I know if the belts are done?

5 years or 60k, iirc. EDIT: Or is it 72k? LOL.

    Will 205/50-15 R888's fit on a 172 running Speedline 2118's

If you have LOTS, I'd love four. Cheers. Bye.x

anyone in norwich able to fit my lowering springs for some cash??

Wrong. Either have a crack yourself, or find someone local who'll do it on the driveway, mate. Tracking doesn't need doing afterwards.

Clio Trophy Dampers removal and refit.

You're giving up because the sill bent? Jack it up on the chassis rail that runs down the car, and you've got no worries mate! Also, if you do use the sill, I always use a rag between the jack and sill. Just takes the harshness off it, imo.

fill in exhaust hole on cup bumper

It is possible with another bit of plastic, and a soldering iron. But it's a massive pain in the arse. By the time you've fucked about, sanded, primed and painted, you might as well have bought a second hand bumper.
