You should never put stuff up that you dont want people to see ;)
I was totally hammered when I posted that the other night. I was LMAO at the time.
If the car is from within the EU then its the 3 years, minus whenever the car hit the road in its country of origin.
All the pictures Ive...
Feel like venting this so here I go.
Thursday evening I stopped off at Halfords on my way home from work to pick up some car shampoo. I decided to get the Zymol shampoo and wax. Both come in the same shaped bottle!!! Ive just looked at the reciept as someone wanted to know what I paid for...
When I bought mine in March I couldnt wait as I was without a car, plus dealers werent getting anywhere near the price I payed.
I just had to pay for the alarm, and Id already got AA cover, so it worked out okay for me.
Thats what I was told zac. Sutton Park have had my car in twice for warranty work and are fine with it being an import.
Ive got a scanned copy of exactly what the warranty covers if you would like to me to put it up? (thanks griff_90)
The 2nd and 3rd year are dealer warranty, so less...
OMG Andrew, how many odd pictures have you taken of your new car!!!!? You really do need help ;) I have to admit, mine got posted a few times after I had it, but not as much as Telford_Mikes magnex ;)
lol, mine had 7 miles when I collected it too.
Just look how happy you are :D...
Dont expect it to be that clean when you collect it!! lol
You should see mine today, had the full Zymol treatment. Best its looked since Ive had it.

They will know all they need to know from the VIN number. As soon as I got mine I called Reno customer support and got the car on the sytem.
I just paid for the car and the alarm, nothing else.
I would think so Andrew.

Its a copy of the letter that Renault were sending out if you asked them about it. Keep it to hand should your dealer not know this.
I think they know from the VIN number which country the car was destined for.
Seeing as they have already made a mistake Id keep quiet. If when it comes to warranty time they kick up a fuss then Id start arguing. As you say, now its on the system they probably wont bother to do any more...
You might want to double check that.
Renault have a habit of getting it wrong. Until Cyprus enters the EU its 1 year. Only cars from within the EU are eligable for the full 1 year manufacturer, 2 year dealer one.
I called Renault and was told my car from Holland only had a year and cars...
Yep, thats true although you should have the balance of 3 years not 2.
The warranty starts as soon as the car hits the road in the country of origin. I lost 2 months on mine as it also came from Motorpoint.
By the way, did you ask which country your car came from? As I hear they are now...
Mine is going on a RR next month so Ill let you know what it produces. If I can get/bare to watch 2 runs, Ill try it with the standard and Pipercross on it.
What Rich-D says. :D I once had a guy who build engines explain this to me, and Ill always run an engine in from now on.
I ran mine in for the recommended 625 miles, the gave it more each day until I hit 1000 miles where I started to drive it how I normally do.
Oh well, at least you knew it was coming. I wish Id asked for the picture of mine.
Id fight it though for a change. Over 14 days for an NIP makes it void.
Sounds like a dam good day to me mate.
Mine was fairly unremarkable as usual. Thrashed the car at every given opportunity and purchased some cleaning stuff for the weekend.
This is the first waxing mines ever had!!! And I can tell you now, itll never get a 3 stage unless I pay someone to do it. I really dont see the point as its dirty the very next day just driving to work.
Thanks.
I think Ill take the wax off with a duster, then use it with the fine spray of water to make sure I dont get any fluffy bits. Not that it matters as by the time I get to DS itll be filthy again.
When are these to be used? I assume they would clog up if you use them to take the wax off, so do you use them when you put the fine spray of clean water on to achieve a better shine?
Thanks
Lee
Ive just fitted a Pipercross to my 172. Feels a little more eager at low revs, other than that not a lot of difference.
Came in at around £38 from K-Tec. But I forgot to use my club discount
No noticable increase in noise that I can tell.
The trim behind my passenger side rear window creaks continually, luckily my dashboard evens things up by being even worse. Im hoping Ill get a perfect balance of creaks and knocks so that they cancel each other out.
To be honest though, my car is now almost 6 months old and makes more noise...
Sutton have had mine twice for warranty stuff and mine is also an import. So far so good there too. I pass them every day so its easy for me to use them.
