    Yes, but an Evo will use more fuel doing it, need servicing a hell of a lot more, etc etc. It should be quicker at double the price, but it won't be twice as good.

    Doesn't work that way. I live in a very safe area, barely any car crime, lots of police presence (due to the rich folk kicking up a fuss), yet the insurance companies regard it as highly risky.

    I'll always take the piss, just the way I likes it. But a golf GTi is a big upgrade overall. Do it son. Of the hatches, the Golf and the Meg are the only cars I'd consider.
