    no no its common on mk1 172s my steering wheels needs recovering, but dont have and rub marks on my seat bolsters.

    totally agree you cant ask for better in terms of performace vs cost etc. go for it dude you wont regret it. i got my 172 2nd hand and havent had a problem with it at all!!! (touch wood!!)

    not bad dude, get rid of exhaust tip and get a straight through ss exhaust. lower it and colour code the side strips and it will be even nicer!!!

    i think you can get 17" my mate had them on his valver, but the front and back arches are slightly wider. 16"s are the way forward and they wont be 2 heavy. how did you total your meg?

    i think what clarkie is saying is that its the 1st 172 model hence its called the mk1 172, the 172 from 51 plate is the second 172 model thus mk2
