    Little update...

I think with a new set of plain white plates (no GB bit) it would look 100x better. I like the green.

Anyone ever stripped a thread on a wheel bolt

Had a bolt snap in the hub of a mates car a few weekends back. Nightmare. I believe 70 - 75Nm is the correct torque.

    What does everyone think?

Much better IMO. Consider when you come to sell them too.

    Super Car Spotting

Rubbing tyres on arches over potholes ....safe to drive on the motorway ?

You just seem totally clueless! What can a 'big name' do that any garage can't? It's only camber and tracking ffs, most tyre companies can sort it. I can't believe that you even needed to start this thread. What a stupid question.

    Renewals - a funny game

I had a claim last year - they upped my quote by £1400. Only for me to move to Elephant and save £150!
  16. Budgie

    Fastest 172? No, cheaper 172.

If you're worried about £2-300 over 3 years, then why are you changing the rear lights and bumper?

    That VXR nutter, he's back.

And that he washes his wheels 4-5 times a week. Agreed.

    That VXR nutter, he's back.

So many things made me laugh. The biblical references on his exhaust heatshield...WTF?!
  23. Budgie

    That VXR nutter, he's back.

Maybe a repost - I did search. Surely everyone must remember the fella who bought the VXR and spent a ridiculous amount of time detailing it straight from the factory. Well, He's back, and on top form. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=81391 I would copy the whole...

    1.2 & Gti-6 - Just cleaned.

Yep, 1999. Couldn't agree more, they have made arguably some of the best hot hatches ever. Yet, seem to have done nothing much in the last 5 years.

    1.2 & Gti-6 - Just cleaned.

Lol! No, agreed. But it certainly is fun!

    1.2 & Gti-6 - Just cleaned.

A 182 is quicker than the one above, but not by much at all. The steering and the feel on the 6 is awesome. The easiest and most controlled lift off oversteer I've ever experienced.
