Looks good. As for the tyre stuff, I either use AG tyre dressing or the Megs one. My preference normally falls in the way of the Megs.

If I had a car worth nicking, my keys wouldn't be hidden. If they're that intent on nicking you car, who knows what they'll do. Cars are easily replaced, and there are some fecking nutters about. Gutting though. Hope it gets recovered safe and sound....

With adequate sanding and primer I see no reason why the paint wouldn't stick.

Depends on how bad the swirls are. For example, an old red car with faded red paint, a more abrasive compound would be more suitable. Yet, a newer paint won't have as much work to do to bring it to it's best, and srp would be perfectly adequate.

Just try a general clean up. If not there are plenty of people on here who are breaking mark ones. I'm sure they wouldn't want much for a new one.
