Doesn't that sort of prove the point? Ie if standard set-up is capable of locking up slicks, more than adequate for track use? After seeing some mentalist outbrake a Gallardo Superleggerra on standard (with uprated pads/discs), think I'd rather spend the money on ho's and liquor.
Driving position is 10mm lower than standard. These are not worth the cash if you buy them just to lower the driving position, as they hardly do. Bought as a high quality seat, they are worth it.
I know the ph1 has different gearing, wasn't sure on the cups. That doesn't make much of a difference (the gearing) it's the weight that makes the biggest difference.
Yep. The Xsara's are pretty uninspiring compared to the 306, the Wiliams should be well ahead.
Only thing the Xsara's are good for is donating engine's to snapped rallye's;)
Ph1 is the best (in my biased opinion;)). Hardly any heavier than the cup, but you get to keep the toys (Air con, ABS), throttle cable (lots nicer to use). For the cost of a cup, you could get a ph1 172, decent coilovers, and (bar the looks) you have a better car IMO.
Cup packed 172 Rollo? Really ;)
I'd see a 182 as a side step for a fair amount of cash, but you would be getting a newer, better equipped car. The only upgrade driving wise would be a Trophy, but if you don't like the colour, thats a non-starter.
Personally, having had a 172 with xenons, then a...
Given that it's nearly 10s quicker than an exige s over the ring (running the same tyres afaik) I maintain that in the hands of the same driver, it would be considerably quicker.
PS Get a dictionary you hun.
It would. Same driver, it would. Higher power to weight, more grip (r888's). It will. Admit it. We're assuming the Vee hasn't spun of and burst into flames.
