It's amazing. I'm sure there's a gazillion posts where Ali says people that haven't lived with/driven a Vee shouldn't comment on it. And yet he's got some strong opinions on the R26R. I'd wager it will be better to drive than a standard Vee. And be considerably faster. Won't look/sound as nice...
All 5 of mine have, 2 of them from new. As said, more pronounced if the dampers are screwed. Easy to check the dampers, climb under the car with a torch, look for oil on the dampers. No need to take to a garage just to check them over.
I hope your just trolling, because otherwise thats completely wrong. Insurance investigators get paid to find reason to reject claims. Car mod'd and not declared, they can (and will) refuse to pay.
Flol. Why would that matter. If you buy a 172 on ITB's, stripped, cage'd, would you not declare those mods? It's a modification from standard, not from when you bought the car.
Nonsense. They would no because they a blatantly not going to be standard, any insurance investigator would literally spot it from 20m away. Does your car have side airbags?
Shame your hard work didn't pay-off. Given the number of potential orders, and the value of the business he'll be recieving, seems a bit low to me, so I won't be going for it.
It's normal. More pronounced with leaky shocks, but you still get it with healthy dampers. It's one of the things that independent rear suspension solves.
