standard setup is awsome, when i went back to it in the summer (was for selling up) i was well chuffed with it, just couldnt live with the 4x4 ride height mind, so the H&R's went back on
drivers side mount, slacken it off, 'pull' or leaver the engine forwards, then as its still being leavered forward, re-do up the mount. That worked for me, i also have the k-tec dogbone mount
that stopped all banging on harsh acceleration in 1st etc
1. Tapping.... if it only occurs when the car is warm, try revving it. The tapping noise should go... then appear again, this is deffo the carbon cannister. £44 for a new one, easy to do too :)
2. Its a standard cup thing as mentioned, the front seems to appear 'higher' as they dont have...
yes, pice of piss matey, they just have two collars (on the front) one adjusts the height, you use a C spanner to adjust it, then when your done, use the other collar to 'lock' it
i adjust mine on thread left on the coilover unit, then double check with the wheels on (tape measure jobbie)...
good choice, mine are wound down fully at the back, and low at the front..... The front should always be lower than the rear when looking side on at the car NOT level
The height depends on what you use the car for really. If you do alot B road thrashing i'd only say 30mm as this gives you...
Not when i rang up lol, the guy who i delt with on the phone (not john mind)was not interested in the slightest,.... took my business else where for alot cheaper. Shame really as i'm only ten mins down the road from tweeks
i think your right about standalone management, it is overkill unless you are fitting TB's There are alot of guys on here who run cams on their 172's on the stock ecu (remapped), give gains up to around 200hp (with filter exhaust etc). Its a reasonably* cheap mod, and means there is no cold...
