On a side note I had the dent man out today - all out dents. He did my front wings, doors and rear quarters. The car is now dent free apart from the corner of the boot and bonnet but the intention (if keeping the car) was always to get those painted anyway.

I'm not sure the bank manager agrees with that statement but you only live once and all that.

Im enjoying it more than the cup but that's probably because I'm 'doing' (or at least paying!) for stuff to be done on it which tends to keep me interested.

Oh yeah, brake pipes and a bit of welding so not the end of the world. I've got until September to sort it so keeps me interested!

I'll second that - my cup feels like a Bentley after driving the Rallye but (at the moment) I'd take it over the cup all day long.

It's pretty torquey - seems a lot more progressive through the revs than the clio as you don't get the 5k kick as such. Mine has a c2 box with the final drive from a s1 Rallye in so makes it very rev happy in 5th! Good for performance - not so good for economical long runs....

The new alternator and power steering pump have been fitted. I went out for a spin in it today and absolutely loved it, really raw and felt quick.
