You need to decide what you want from them. If you want to go as low as possible, handling will suffer. If you want them for track, you wown't go as low. I think Freds is the lowest I've seen that still handled well.
Re: Taster picture :)
There was a lad from Birmingham with the green calipers on arctic, saw it in the flesh, looks good. He had the ktec lightweight whhels on though.
7k would mean that it's retained nearly 50% of it's value over 4 years and average mileage. You don't get those sort of residuals with a merc/audi, so no chance on a clio!
No way 7k! Trophies with 50k on an 05 are going at 7k. 6.5k you may have to wait a while for a buyer, 6k should go easily. In the current used car market you will not get 7k.
Got the adjustable set up fitted, adjusts bound/rebound together, 12 clicks. Just after some info. What will be the effect on handling if I stiffen the front relative to the rear and vice versa?
Got the ast's fitted, immense. Still playing with settings, but so capable. On standard soft settings, ride is good and handling great. Would prefer a slightly sharper turn in, will be speaking to fitter on monday.
Various people on here have complained particularly about a harsh ride with gaz. Handling wise, plenty of options (H&R, KW, AST), if just for slamming I don't have a clue!! Think foxy's the person to ask about slammage.
Maybe. The awesome courtesy car I'm hooning about in. It has a switch that causes it to drift on command, most cars call it the brake pedal. Just brush the pedal, front end goes right, rear end goes left, steering weights up oddly.
This is how the big dog rolls:
I'm down your way fairly often, the rents live in malvern. Next week, I'll let you know which evening I'm over, if you're free we'll meet somewhere. Roads between malvern and tewkes are great (sure you know that!)
Hopefully! Bit of a leap of faith, never been in a car with them before, but the rear coilover+the adjustable dampers should be great (even better given the price!).
