Used to cut out around corners when I had it so cleaned the fuel filter and made sure I never dropped below 1/4 of a tank and it seemed to be ok.

I'm pretty sure the warranty is only valid for the original purchaser. Id just take it to a local exhaust place and get them to sort it.

I don't think it's the head gasket - surely you would notice 2 litres of water mixing with the oil per day! There must be a leak somewhere. It kinda reminds me of my old mk3 golf vr6. I always had to carry 4L of water around with me on a daily basis.
