Same as the 4, naked. Had it 16 months and it has a little crack on the bottom corner at the front, scuff to the rear plastic surround and light scratches on the glass. It has been dropped numerous times but I still like it better than a case.
They also make sure it's all washed before being coated so the chances of that happening is pretty much nil. It's usually just scare tactics from people who haven't had it done.
The MX5 won't be going for a while.
My friend had his Alfa race car dipped and coated and it's looking good after nearly 2 yrs. The main thing I would be worried about if there's any acid that could be trapped and eat the shell from the inside but it doesn't seem to be happening.

As Tony said 480bhp had his done at the above place. I can't remember whether he had to do any welding before being e-coated.
We have another MX5 going to be dipped. Mainly so it's a light as possible.

I would like the get one but I'm poor right now so sticking with the 4 for a little longer. However if I find any spare money you'd know where I'd be.

I'm going to leave it for now before I go crazy. I know there is lots of this to be had in the first section. For the left hander after the tunnel I found it's quicker to brake towards the apex then ride the curb all the way, this keeps you to the left which opens up the right hander...
I need to be very paitient with the throttle on the first corner. I think more pratice should do it.
The next corner is the first left hander next to the lake where you just fly through. However, I manage to claw some back through the right hander before the tunnel where I brake earlier and...
I find if I run wide on any of the last 3 the marker will stay. I understand the last one but any before seems harsh.
I'm on low 43's. Christopher gains .5s in the first corner alone. :(
For the right hander now I use fifth then hold the brakes to tuck it into the apex then downchange to...
I'm just trying to get my turn in point especially at the blind apex. Also have to remember to brake right to the apex, somehow I let off the brakes for no reason.
I should have popped over and said hi really. We did pop in to your garage during lunch with Steve when one of you were trying to find the dipstick in the engine bay.
I'm currently using the CYC rotary, for the price I can't really recommend anything else. You can't expect it to be like the 3M but it's very good.
Only complaints are:
on/off switch position
Heat from use
I would definately go for the rotary over a DAS if you are confident enough.
