    Thank you Edde. The dealer is saying 5W30 is recommended and is better but 5W40 can also be used.

    What oil should be used for the 197 or whats recommended? Is it 5W40 or 5W30? My dealer seems to think that Renault recommend 5W30 and the service booklet should be ignored.

    I think that they also said that you can run it on 95ron after the run in period. Seems to be a grey area.
