Well chuffed - found these on ebay and made the guy an offer - he hadnt done a great advert and did not mention the fact that they are Oz wheels - I already have a set on my clio 172 as below but have bought these for my girlfriends 1.4 16v clio - its like the clio cup blue in colour so these...
After going to the french car show and seeing various other cars I decided to do a spot of colour coding this week - mainly inspired by Maz and RichMcc - heres my efforts so far
quite pleased with the results - only a few bits and pieces to finish it off needed now.
Had a small mmet today - 6 cars in total - good to meet some local club members
anyway heres a few photos from the day - all taken by my 8 yr old son James (kept him quiet! lol)
Hope to organise another one soon - hopefully get some more...
Had my bump strips nicked at the weekend so have bought a set second hand - they are pretty mint but could do with a good buffing up - anyone near Cardiff willing to give it a crack?? Thanks
Just driven to work - noticed a noise a few days ago when I opened the door with the engine running but did not think too much about it - opened the door again just now in a quiet area and it sounds really bad - definately blowing from the centre box area or cat = goin to call charlie in a bit
anyone fitted these at all - if so any good or bad points about them - seem quite cheap compared to denso etc - any recommendations - cars done 26000 miles now so about time to change them i think
Went down to pembrokeshire yesterday and found a nice spot so thought I would take some picures - seen as I have spent about 10 hours cleaning it over the last few days!
hope you like
:D
Tim
Really annoyed - car was sitting nicely till I had the camber set yesterday now tha gap in the front arch looks too big - really annoying coz I will have to get the toe adjusted again if I lower it more - costin a fortune all this toe setting up etc - nearly as much as the bloody shocks!
washed, clayed, waxed, alloy wheel seal, and A/G Quick Glass on saturday
paint looks really good and is so smooth - really pleased with the results
used a funky setting on the last picture but shows how clean it is
From These -
To these -
Got them in an ET42 offset so no rubbing any more - really pleased with them
Look a bit less boy racer stylee I think - gettin on now so its a good look!
Would appreciate it any of you have any photos of a 172 or 182 with 17 inch OZ F1 Cup or evo alloys (same wheels as on the original 172 but in 17inch)
Thanks in advance
I have 17 inch wheels fitted to my car with 205/40 17 eagle F1's but the rear wheels are rubbing the outside of the arches a little - running ET37 at the moment but have found a buyer for my wheels so gonna get some new ones - what offset would be best - any one else had this problem? Either...
just been checking my rear wheel arches as have a little bit of rub since lowering and found a huge scratch on the rolled lip of the rear passenger side wheel arch - must have been caused by the prat of an apprentice that put the alighnment equipment on my car - nob. Anyway car is going back...

for info about the first South Wales Clio sport meet (that I am aware of)
decided to take the front of my face off apart as had developed a nasty rattle at certain revs - good news is I fixed the rattle but in the process managed to get some fluff on the inside of the display - took it apart again - gave it a wip and now instead of fluff I have scratched the inside of...
Finally solved my weird handling problem this morning - had to much toe out instead of a little of bit of toe in so have had the wheels realigned and all is good - you would not believe the difference this has made although 2 weeks of driving as if on ice has not done my front tyres much good -...
After a trip to GDi today I can honestly say I am stunned - Andy took me for a spin in his 182 demo car - WOW! The handling is something else - Until now I thought that these shocks were massively overpriced and did not expect them to give the qualities that they provide - they really are...
Just ripped out the Alpine KCA 420i that Mike at Rentech fitted for me a few months ago - although it worked for music it was not possible to have the sound from films coming through the car system. So bought an Alpine MP3 connection wire which plugs into the CD changer input and then into the...
After lowering my 172 I now notice a lot of the braking is being done at the rear - should I adjust the valve underneath and if so HOW??
Fred it definately looks more and more like I am coming to see you on Sunday!
since fitting my FK coilovers my car feels very tail happy - any one got any ideas , I have had the camber and tracking done, but it feels very unsafe at the moment - to the point where I am tempted to go back to o.e and just stick some Apex springs on (kind of wish I had done that in the first...
I have fitted FK coilovers but not sure about raising/lowering the rear - do I have to disconnect the shock in order to give the less tension on the platform from the spring or is it ok to adjust when the car is jacked up - will the spring dig into the thread on the platform?
lowered my 172 today - used FK konigsport coilovers - I thhink i have it oo low at the moment so will raise it tomorrow - seems to be rubbing a tiny bit at the front - think it is where a piece of the inner arch sticks down to cover the bumper mount - has anyone done a fix for this??
also the...
