me too - I bought a sony last year - cost me £250 kept it for 1 week before UPGRADING to an Alpine for the same price - sound quality is vastly superior. Have always had alpines in the past but thought I would try sony - wont be making that mistake again
As far as I know Alpine have stopped...
just out of interest dont you get a lot of rattles in the car having a sub - the rear inside panels rattle like mad in my 172 without a sub - I have always had subs in all my cars but am too scared to in the 172 as it already rattles badly enough
completely agree Maz - I could have a carbon bonnet, polished strut brace and still have some money left over probably - would be nice though! I have a hillpower kit which is basically a ramair filter inside a heat shield - Dont have any issues with it - could probably do with a better air feed...
edde how can you say he is starting with 179 - every car is different from the evidence I have seen - Ben at angelworks has had gains of up to 12bhp just from manifold matching although I agree this is not the case on every car but still possible to get more than 10bhp from those mods - I know...
yeah for a thousand pound I would agree with Maz
exhaust and decat - approx £450
manifold matching - £180
remap - approx £300
although I do disagreee with the induction kit - personally I think they are great depending on which you go for - range between £30-£400 the choice is yours! theres...
they are good springs as long as you dont want the car to be lower - When I put them on the car looked hardly any different - go for the sportlines in my opinion still only lower it about 25-30mm which is about right.
uprated shocks are likely to be stiffer as well mate - not likely to be as cushioned as it is now. If you were to buy H&R coilovers your ride would be better but then your talking loads of money.
i had an aftermarket filter on mine by the time it was run in! as said if you dont want to pay a lot get an ITG panel filter, if money is not a concern then get a maxogen - otherwise if it bothers you that much just buy a Renault one - not expensive and 2 min job to replace.
clio badge has holes - renault sport badges dont
On 1.2's etc they only have a clio badge - no renault badge meaning if renault wanted holes for the renault sport badges they would have to get different bootlids made so definately not any holes
sounds similar to what happened to me with a crappy longlife exhaust - after 3 return visits was told to fook off and get one elsewhere! Really gutted for you mate its really upsetting when s**t like this happens - I was tempted to get the cheap remap that they are offering at the moment but...
i tried getting a price for these recently but they could not give one and told me they were not available yet although I think they just couldnt be bothered to look personally so if you find out let me know - also try and get part numbers for them if possible - oh and dont try renault cardiff!
no - from what I understand it just means that the emisions level was too high so the light came on - it doesnt actually do anything - its only there to tell you if your cat is fooked but seen as yours isnt its not a problem. ive got my mot next week too with the same light on - it should be ok...
