It does need replacing, ive seen it for my own eyes! Clio's with side airbag deployed brings up the fault 'computer' as a permanent fault, It cant be erased on clip.

If any airbag goes off then the computer needs replacing, its located near the gearstick. Id be a bt sceptical about using the guy off ebay, he might get the light to go out but will the airbag circuits work after?? Not really worth the risk IMO.

I used compressors yes, dunno if you need to tho. You could always undo the 17mm nut on the strut top till its almost off, if the spring moves around on the seat then you wont need compressors.

I havnt read the guide, but its really easy and you dont need many tools really. Just be carefull compresing and removing the front springs, if they go they really go!

The rears take ten mins, both shock bolts out then simply change the springs. The fronts take a bit longer tho.

I youve got all the tools ( airgun etc ) then can be done in 40 mins, at home it'l take you 2 hours tops.
