Looks good dude!
You can do similar job on the headlight and still use xenon's/indicators.
Here's my thread for tips.

After doing a search i cant find anything that helps me.
So i'm thinking of replacing my pedal box to a pro race cabin under slung type, only problem being that the clutch only comes with hydraulic option not cable so my question is can anyone give advise to what parts will fit to the 182 box...
It was at night so couldn't make to much, all i remember he had white wheels or very clean silver 15", dropped and the Clio (silver/white) jdm style sticker on the lower part of the rear quarter.
I wouldn't like to say if the mounts would fit onto the engine, however i can't see why not as i don't think they'd design a engine block just for the engine to mount to the subframe IMO.
Maybe someone could sent pics to confirm and show how and where they mount onto the block.
Maybe you could...
I believe that you can alter your existing subframe but you'd need to alter the engine side as well as the complete engine and box sits lower in the subframe. Another thing that you'd need to look into is longer drive shafts if your running standard hubs and suspension.
If you was to go all...
I've weighed the metal that was cut out from inside the car and it came to 8.52 kg seams low to me and that it should be more but didn't have a big weighing scales so had to use the kitchen scales 3times and add it together lol.
Will have to buy propper scales and re-test.
Gutting, I won't...
Thanks Neil, how's things on your car are you still losing faith in it?
Hope not would be a shame to chuck all that work and time that's already been put into it and not get done, maybe seeing how i get on with mine will give you incouragement to get yours done (when you have free time).
Will...
Thanks stu, WOW 690-720kg thats amazing i think i'll have my work cut out to achieve them figures especially on a heavy clio will have to keep looking for more metal to attack now lol.
Oh i tried ringing you earlier last 3 ending in 683 to ask your opinion regarding foam/baffled with...
Why can't i not edit posts now (stupid phone probably)

Thanks kenny for the advise regarding the pedal assembly at the moment i'm going to move on and get to it at a later date.
Time for a update guys,
Not much has been happing on the car since last post lost interest if i'm honest and been busy with the motorbike.
This is now the bike
Back on...
Put that free thinking time into doing the car if i was you, although i've been through the same lines of thought as you getting a old cup racer now means parts are scares so if you have any problems you'll be spending alot of money and time trying to find and replace the parts.
Also IMO abit...
I think i know what he means, do you mean the design like the bmw's that pop out of the bumper and squirt?
If you was to go down that route then i'd assume there's alot of motors behind the bumper and to get it working would be a job and half in it self.
Cheers jack, although it will be a road legal track car it won't be used on the road often so for the clutch rest being there it won't be used much.
Another reason for ripping it out, i'm debating on fitting race pedals so might need all the room i can get as i got no idea on which ones i'd...
Would be good to see your figures after its been corner weighted, bloody hell 670kg was that the starlet by any chance?.
Abit of a update the weekend has been taking up on other bits but I have started to chop bits off the car :). (plenty more to come)
Sorry about the quality of the pics...
Cheers gray, i'd be doing what you said and a few other bits and bobs that i have up my sleeve so hopefully i'll be looking at mid to high 800's with lightweight 15" wheels.
Cheers guys low 900's or high 800's is a good figure :), I assume to get a 182 down to low 800's would require a lot of cutting and swagging or is it pretty much a impossible target while keeping it road legal?.
900kg dry ain't bad, I don't have a clue of what i want it to so i'll do what i can and should be more than enough, yes possibly the easiest way would be to put it back together but then deep down i won't be happy untill i done what i can and after getting it done i'd still use the (big no no...
Re: 182 track weapon attempt
None as of yet, the car was all together at one point but then i sold the top dash and half cage and i still havn't had the full cage welded in so decided to start over again.
problem being where it was outside the back of my neighbours house if i stripped...
Re: 182 track weapon attempt
Well this is well over due of a update but things have been very busy and to be honest a pain in the arse lately, since the last time i was on here (almost 2 months ago) i've had no ends of bad luck and pretty much sunk my bank balance low again.
1st thing me and my...

Sorry but on iPhone so can't upload the video link.
The only way your legal to tow a vehicle now is on a dolly as the car is not under it's own propulsion e.g all wheels on the ground, my brother found that out and got band for "driving with no tax, mot, insurance" even though it was getting towed by a rope and he had insurance for his own car.
If...
That's stumped me, it normally counts from each point of contact with the body not the extra bars added on.
I've never seen a 15 point roll cage advitised anywhere max i've seen is 10 point so that would be
2x front turrets
2x front legs
2x middle legs
2x rear arch area legs
2x fuel tank area...
I agree with frenchthing, I'm not a pro welder but to me it looks like a case of not enough heat so not penatrating the metal enough and just blobbing up.
