They'll look fine, as it'll look a bit like a 182. If you want to see anthracite 182 alloys on a 172 look for pics of Big Iains car (his car is flame red)
I'd be on the floor laughing if I ever saw that Fiesta for real, I bet it's a 1.25 zetec, or maybe not even that, probably a 1.3 8v 60bhp lol.
How can anyone think it looks good ??
What mpg do you get ??
I was averaging 20.5 (or so) in the vee, I do open it up every now again:)
I'd never reset the computer, but I did the other day & I got it up to 28 with a mix of motorway driving & crawling in motorway traffic, so it wasn't that bad really.
Lol.
Tbh, most insurers won't quote you any different. If it is one it's worth telling though. As you've got a cat1 alarm on it (as per uk ones) I doubt they'd mind, you need to tell them though.
Mines £700 f/c i'm 26 though, with a damm Romford postcode.
All vee's are group 20 & I found that there was no difference in insurance whether I said it cost 12k or 18k.
Leedash, it depends on which phase it is. Phase 2 16v's came in on late L reg - if that's the case it should have speedline vega alloys on it, like this (they too are 15")
If yours looks like the above one you've got a phase 2, if the grille is slatted, the mirrors are smaller, the side rub...
Get it in writing that it's only done 10k. See if you can get a photocopy of the service book too.
As said, it's not illegal to do it (they call it mileage correction) but it is illegal to sell it without informing the new/perspective owner.
I quite like that green golf. That citrus coloured sierra sapphire cosworth may have worked back in 1993 when the mondy si came out, but not today.
There are some proper heaps of sh*t there too !
Use a mole grip on it, but that will ruin it.
They just twist off (turn it left as iirc it has a thread in it) I got hold of a thing called a 'gator grip' basically it's just an adjustable rubber thing which you put round it, it doesn't ruin the gear knob at all.
This was on a valver ages ago...
Mint vid, lol @ when Cleland gives him the middle finger, proper carnage at the end. It's just not as good these days:dapprove: I used to love watching it during lunch.
