What paint are you going to use ?? Hammerite won't be fully dry in 20 mins, it'll still be tacky. I left it it about an hour & a half between coats (I did two) Then after the last, I left it over night before putting the wheels back on.

I like it apart from the skirts, for the money i'd expect it to be a total minter (it does look clean in the pics)

How wide are the spacers ? As the wheels look almost level with the arches.

The mk1 v6 spolier is just the same was the normal (non cup) 172/182 one. The mk2 vee/trophy spoiler is bigger, but they cost about £200 upwards.

sm_wrc has given you the tyre pressures. They will be a lot lot better once you've done a few miles on them, take it easy for a bit.

Agreed, people hear the brand name Sony & think it'll be good, they aren't the best at making car stereos, thier competitors are a lot better.

Elephant, I was 24 when I had a group 20 car insured with them. I'm 26 now & pay £700 with them on the vee.

I'm not being funny here at all, but why on earth accept the car & pay for it when you didn't see any service history up front ? If it were me i'd have put down a deposit on it and got it in writing that it was fully refundable if there was no service history for the car. I do appreciate that...

I wouldn't buy a car with outstanding finance on it at all (it's not theirs to sell anyway) Personally I think that your best off getting out a loan (with a low rate of something like 5.6%) Pay the finance off & then sell the car.

Tbh I think your bet off going for a 172/182, more practical for everyday use, plus you can get your mrs & kid in it. If you want a liquid/black gold vee - your looking at mk2's. As 99% of mk1's are silver, they also came in blue (only 8 of them though) and red like clarkie has (I think there...
