I believe that they are just stuck on.
I guess the old ones would be quite easy to get off, i'd use a piece of dental floss on them (tried & tested method which works)
I do quite like the new renault sport badge (you'll never catch me saying rs) but as said the clio ones looks massive in...
Fancyplates add on vat & shipping though, so basically they'll be the same price as halfrauds.
I used gtgrafix for mine (they have a sister site too, demonplates) excellent turn around they were here about 2 days later.
I know the ones you mean, technically they aren't show plates as cars before 1972 had them on. I don't see the attraction with them tbh, but that's just me. Loads of big cars (big mercs & jags etc) round my way have them.
It's only if you use them now that they'd become show plates, as they...
You've got a plate spaced illegally - so if you do get puled, it'll be for that, they won't pull you 'for nothing'
Either way of fixing it on is fine, as long as it doesn't fall off, or someone steals it. I'd just get a legal one though.
Thanks for the PM you gave me last night Craig regarding the car info etc - that's ok Anni, glad I could help.
I dunno
Unless of course my info wasn't appreciated ? Or you didn't get it (in which case ignore this)
(this isn't random, she'll know what I mean)
It won't be too hard to do, just measure it up & then chop a bit less than that out & go from there. The last thing you want to do is chop too much off. Find the centre of the splitter & work from there.
A seat ibiza one will fit (with modding) thats not a bad mod, but I think they are a bit...
Speak to Fred or Kathy, as they use/used one on a daily basis, Kathy had it from new (mk2) then she & Wayne sold it to Fred.
I only use mine (a blue mk1) at weekends & on the occasional jaunt after work during the week.
The beginning letters of the reg plate are the giveaway that it's an ex renault uk car, they all begin with a H, most start out HN etc etc.
If you look on the renauly press site, you'll see what we mean.
It may only have had one female owner, but it's likely to have had a lot of drivers. I...
I remember when you (lusty) made the same type of thread on the same subject not so long ago, I believe it started along the lines of " I felt the rush when I opened her up " That made me chuckle to bits, proper comedy value as ever.
Watch out tr33 - as next time they might just come back with some tin snips & cut your valves off & get the valve caps that way !
If they do get them let us know & i'll go & loot the ones off of the geezer up the roads mondeo (joke)
