your having a laugh! 95%!!!
Wow, so the remap capability is not great then. 130 sounds really optimistic now.
Would they accept a set of 1*2 injectors? probably need standalone management for that?
What makes you say that? Seems an odd statement to me? do you mean the gearbox and Dshafts are weak?
I don't buy that renault made a car with 100bhp and good torque and fitted a gearbox that instantly pops at 140bhp.
Can't wait till these engines get a little older and cheaper. You can do some...
what are you people chattin about
Can't fault Ktec, But I havent got a clue why you think a 182 manifold is a waste of time. The job is big, but not that bad. Especially with a mate to help you. Great mod if you fancy giving it a crack yourself. My guide has helped a few.
Fact is...

It's a shame that there is no evidence that his rollers are correct.
330bhp looks nearly possible on his setup.
Having said that I would of expected the boost pressure to be a little higher...
Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
did you have to chop a small amount of metal out the scuttle to get the engine loom out then?
Excellent work BTW. busy busy busy
Orange
Whiteley, Mk1s without rust are nothing :approve:
Plus mines white :rasp: so I won't have people asking, oh is that a williams. "No:rolleyes:, It's not quite a williams".
What a fwappin bargain it is though.
Glad you bought it? been for a cheeky spin?
you need 2 new bolts (obviously) and if you can get the old ones out then great. If you can't, then I'd assume you'd need to get a new thermostat housing and have a play with a grinder. ;)
IIRC know that the rules say that this will be moved to general automotive...... Please don't move this, It's a cracking project :)
Well done mate. I'd kill for a space like that. How much was the 2 poster if you don't mind me asking?
Love it :)
agreed :)
MK1 clio, with a DCi block, a much bigger turbo (used diesel turbos seem pretty cheap on ebay), knock up your own ghetto manifold, FMIC, bigger injectors, run some savage boost and wait for conrod bends :)
Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
manual rack ftw. More steering feedback. Few more turns lock to lock but i think you might like it in the end.
I know it's not a fix, but it's a suggestion :)
I picked up a manual column for 10 at the scrappy (VGC) and going to buy the rack brand new i think from GSF or...
the above conversion was done by a guy on Williamsclio.co.uk
It shifts really well by the looks of things but i think his fuel injection is mechanical so he can't just "turn the boost up" which is a little annoying.
Personally I'd go for a slightly more modern lump.
