theres not many on the road yet because of the time it takes renault to supply them. most people on here talk about 6-8 weeks for delivery so dont worry they will be common as muck soon;)
i had a full mongoose on my escort rs turbo and all the neighbours used to complain about it wakeing them up in the mornings etc. so much so i collected a fair few nails in my tyres. didnt find out why did it
does anybody know how many cups were actually made and registered in the uk? thought when i bought it i was buying quite a rare car but reading posts on here there seems to be loads knocking about, especially in england. dont see that many up here in sunny scotland though, well not in edinburgh...
i really dont see the point in chipping a 172/cup unless u have had lots of other mods done first, ie head work, cams, inlet mods, filter, de cat, exhaust then have it chipped on a dastek or smt6 and suited to all other mods. just chucking in a "grp n" chip on a basically standard engine is just...
yeah i was thinking about 20bhp, dont know what gains are had from the inlet manifold mod but heard good things about it on here. plus ive heard the only changes on the 182 are the inlet manifold and cat/exhaust so if these 2 give 10bhp surely 20bhp isnt out of the question.
i have a itg panel filter and a magnex cat back system. im looking at getting a de cat (janspeed) and the hill power inlet manifold then having it set up on either the dastek or smt6 or whatever its called. what bhp figure will i be looking at with this lot fitted?
this has happend to me a few times, always just after spending ages washing it, last time drove under a bridge and i thought somebody had thrown something off the bridge onto my car but it was a massive bird sh*t on the roof, windscreen and bonnet, couldnt believe it!
fitted my itg panel filter to the cup on saturday and took out the cold air feed from the airbox and now have it sitting about an inch from the airbox as advised by a couple of people on here. what a difference!! it now sounds really throaty at 3500rpm and upwards, really nice induction roar...
i have to admit i always liked the look of novas and wanted one when i was younger but never actually got one, this was when they were still being produced and the image of them wasnt really that bad, more the xr2 s back then. just been reading all the posts on here and today while out in the...
u wouldnt need to change the ecu for an exhaust, if u fitted a viper/bmc induction system then it could affect the air/fuel mixture causing the car to run too lean and then u should look at a remap. power wise ktec quote about 6bhp for their sports cat and with a full system u might be looking...
yeah mate its just a case of taking out the screws, taking out the standard filter and replacing it, no adjustment needed. std exhaust is fine, makes no difference, easy to do i think, ill let u know as my itg filter is supposed to arrive tomorrow and ill be replacing it asap.
whats the story on modding the inlet manifold on a cup/172? im sure ive read on here its an area that can be improved on as standard is a bit sh*t. whats the benefit of this mod and is it the next step after the usual filter/exhaust/de cat and what sort of bhp are u looking at with all of the...
