Does anyone happen to know if the centre sections for both 172 and 182 exhausts are the same?
The baffles in my centre section have gone and it's now got an annoying rasp.
Cheers
If your looking on eBay, the one shown with black bushes is the stiffest they do.
The one with the blue or yellow one is the standard uprated one I believe.
Cheers
@RS Charlie do you mean your buying a complete new shifter from Renault?
I believe you can buy refresh kits on eBay. Might save you some pennies.
The rubber bushes i haven't seen available as an aftermarket part. I presume they are only available from Renault but yanoo manufactures brass...
I'd look at the simple and cheap options first:
Dogbone
Rubber bushes at the gear shifter linkage
Nylon shifter bush located on the box
These are cheap to do before you go buying a new shifter and should be easy to see if they are heavily worn.
Bought a "clean" ph1 a couple of years ago with 70 odd k on it. Thought it was solid as a rock until i sold it and the lad crashed it, ripped the skirts off and revealed big holes down the sills.
Planning on removing the skirts on my cup in the near future to clean, and seal them up just to...
Does anyone have the bearing code to hand for these?
Need some ASAP and ideally would like to buy elsewhere from KTEC due to the considerable price hike.
Cheers
Dont suppose you're able to recommend me some interior LED bulbs and a number plate one if you've got one? Thought id ask as i don't want to be buying rubbish ones off eBay. Cheers
@Chris_Beer
My 172 was timed up wrong and made 179bhp haha. That's just with induction and decat k-tec stealth exhaust
That was at EFI parts too so an accurate reading
Yeah they're really popular with honda's. A lot of the civic cup cars use the mfactory plated diffs. I've driven an ep3 civic on track with one of the mfactory helical diffs and it felt great. Was looking at one for my 172 as there quite bit cheaper than a quaife
Been offered some matched inlets but they are from a ph1. These don't come up often so was wondering if they are feasible to fit after finding out they're not a direct replacement.
Cheers for the replys
@Keith185 cheers for the reply. I'm doing the same and upgrading my engine mounts. Got vibratechnics on the way and just wondered if that was an updated lower one too. Cheers
Just read through this all. Lovely trophy! Going back to the first page when you updated all your engine mounts. Was it an updated gearbox to subframe mount you used too?
Cheers
Wasn't this on eBay for the same start price a month or so ago? i was interested before i bought my cup but it was taken off/sold within a couple of days
