PH2 dash conversion is fairly easy tbh. You loose the skin on both your hands doing it, but it's fairly straight forward if you take your time. First thing I did on mine was rip the dash out!
Yeah it's no bother for me as I run harnesses, but we had to add the two harness bars in. I'm not a big fan of dash dodgers - seems a bit comprimised for me.
I've got the 'Race' version in mine (full weld in). The fitter said it was a great fit. The difference between it and an OMP one I had was night and day. You do have to remove door cards and cut the dash though, but it's a proper piece of kit.
I'm glad you are fixing it, not a massive fan of what you've done so far if i'm honest.
My 328 sport made do with Eibachs, a Dave F and a GT front spoiler. Loved that car!
Cosworth filter fitted. Prodrive boxes bought and Hayward & Scott centre section provisionally booked in for fitting (though i may have wimped out on the unsilenced option...)
Averaging 20mpg. lol!
Great car though.
Yeah, really easy. If you are quick you won't lose much coolant either.
Regards the lambda for the guy in Durham, i'm sure i've got a fairly new one knocking about in the garage you can have for not much. Send me a pm.
A friend of mine has had his order in for ages. Not sure when it arrives, but I suspect it'll be one of the first. I look forward to a ride out in it.
I saw a ZOE on the roads a few days ago and Leaf's are everywhere up here. I don't mind, more fuel for the rest of us.
We had a fairly good discussion on this recently mate, but if you're doing the belts anyway then yes i'd say it's worth it. You'll need to find out what they need to be timed up at, but i'm sure you'll work it out.
Local chat ;)
Andy has a new phone, but I hardly ever get a reply on that either. He's been down to help me with some camshaft fitting for months now. :(
Pretty busy guy so I gave up chasing him - sure he'll be in touch at some point. lol
I didn't say that at all, but now I think about it 3k revs in 5th is about 40mph, so yes it should 'pull alright'.
I'm not talking about driving at 10/10ths here, i'm talking about making progress within the speed limits.
If that fix on 197.net works then that's saved all the hassle. Essentially it's saying the O rings on the MAP sensor don't seal air getting in round it, so seal it up better or fix it down using a cable tie. I'd say it's a load of rubbish, but they've had 18 pages of positive results! Crazy.
