egr in two parts, first bit is the soliniod valve for control of the actaull valve. the second bit will be carbonised up so will be stuck in the egr casting.
it will come out, clean it spotless and make sure the valve can be opened by hand or the solinoid wont be able to push it.
the ones ive destroyed , ( and seen dead ) crank forever and flash like a cristmas tree, then sort of fire up with help of easystart.
also the pump will cut out when its gone, and when that happens your lucky if it starts again.

wouldnt worry about pump til it starts trying to cut out or flags up allot longer with hardly any power/ longer cranking starts.
( flagging up longer dont apply to tutuur as he's forcivly maxing his pump out...

wait, assuming the 1.8T vw engine is the same size as the 1.9 pd vw engine ( both with 6 speed boxes on ) the shafts should be the same length
otherwise id have to messure up myself if the pd lump sets the box to drivers hub distance different !
yeah , i run 2stroke and decent pump diesel, supermarket diesel makes mine have a mardy and have a little stall ( not like a proper stall ) just cutts out and then picks back up again.

can i get the pd driveshafts modified to run clio 172 cv joints ?
also any good companys i can send them off to , to do this?

if its pissing it out it out here, it needs a bottom end seal refresh. which by the time you take the sump off, i recon you'll have a fucked crank if you say its knocking.

why is it everyone ive known to own a dci cannot unplugg it and i can without the lights haha :o
you aint running twostroke are you? mine seems to do it a tad worse with that running through with diesel, wether its making the injectors or pump more ' lube'd '

its just what a dci engine does lol. ecu just controlling fueling when cold and then adjusting when upto temp.
mines been like that since i swapped the engine last year around may time, so i aint going to worry.
ive driven a dci around with a fucked crank for 6months LOL
