mine just seems to get worse the more tunning parts I add to it. I fucked the c220 merc turbo off as that was making it drink fuel.
standard 80 turbo now. might change the cooler for a more cubic volume one
theres this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Clio-II-Kangoo-2001-2006-1-5-DCI-Clutch-Kit-3-Piece-Bearing-NEW-/300871835220?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AClio&hash=item460d5bde54
( have this fitted to my dci 80 )
or...
no dual mass on the old mk2s. solid flywheel.
dci 80 shares the 172 box. dunno if the 65 does.
have a search on ebay for renparts one less that £100 I think. fitted one to a 65 before ands it been great. ( valeo )
VOSA will have their arses ringing if thy found out why it had happened under the MOT's places control.
Take it back and get them to sort it. I can't possibly see how it set on fire ' letting it warm up ' supposedly in the workshop unless they ragged the car around outside.
Smoke before...
Ph1's have holes both sides. Just Renault don't want the badges to fall off.
MIGHT have a go at making some little black blanks for the holes and them move the badge over
yupp the strobes still work and have come useful allot lately towing cars haha.
Yeah always had a cup spoiler since it got rebuilt
tried that LOL I thought it would be big enough to cover the holes but.... No :(
its a marmite thing I guess
Only reason it got sport bumpers was down to it was cheaper and quicker to get hold of rather than the non sports part that it never came with. It was all smashed up before lol.
I think I'd rather people know its a derv tbh
Leak back test is taking the returns of the injectors and putting each one into a cup( or bottle ) them running the car to see which leaks back the most. Usually the really bad one with be filling what ever up allot more than the others
Fuel pump usually does that. Me and mike/mick from MWM both had it in 5th with load or going for it, it would flash thoses lights and log ' low rail pressure ' as the fault.
Ive changed mine as IMO catch it early, no messy fuel system( if it hasn't already spat s**t out )
other than that ...
may i just make a point ( not to be rude ) but glass sealant on plastic?
surely a good plastic sealant would be better? or even better a product like gtec c4 or c1.5?
thats impressive dan! the 65's seem to do better on fuel that the others for some odd reason.
well my tank is nearly in the red , i refuse to actaully run it til the fuel light for many reasons but the millage reading is 557 miles in a tank :)
no complaints about that.
if it was delphi i would have it fixed by now, as i have access to the test kit.
i'll fire up the autcom and see what thats bringing up.
the quick connectors look i good condition. i bet its done the same thing as mine and f**ked off a connection near the tank.
the pumps easy to get at to...
pot type filter housing, needs an o'ring on top then the lid has a bolt in the middle to screw it down air tight.
pipes just ' quick ' connect onto it.
It's had proper diesel put in, I've took a fuel sample and tested it with a ' dip ' kit. No petrol reaction on the card.
The rail pressure seems to go up and down from 300bar on cranking.
Injectors not leaking back. Check all fuel line connections and also put another o'ring on the fuel filter...
It's had neat cleaner in the filter and even more added to the tank. Drove about 10miles to the station , filled up. Got half way back home and it just died. He said the engine just surged and died
Filter is on the low feed side to pump.
I can't see any air in the lines as its all black/blue...
