Can anyone confirm the hex key (allen key) needed to loosen off the nut on the rear platforms is 3.5mm?
Mine are an arse to adjust at the back, and this sodding locking nut is problem number 1!
I might be wrong, but you are probably best calling FCS and asking for a refund explaining you want to go on the CS session.
Rockingham is OK, granted it's not Silverstone, but the track is quite a laugh. Dave, I think the Golf should be fine.
*Bump*
Everyone: We are struggling to fill the entire session, infact, we are struggling to even get more than a handful of Clios out in the ClioSport session!
So if you want to stand a chance of being out with mainly Clio's, or in an ideal world only Clio's then please book ASAP otherwise...
Re: Possible new splitter found!!
Yup, it depends how you are fitting it. If you use self tappers then just screw them in and they'll grip, if you are using rivets, then yes you'll need a pilot hole.

Fitted, was getting dark by the time i finished, so excuse the phone pics.

I actually drilled and riveted it on then trimmed with a new blade. Its on very firmly as I put a rivet on every tab. Those who have purchased will understand!
Re: Possible new splitter found!!
Picked mine up this morning. Totally different material to the standard Reno splitter, but looks good to me and I suspect will be slightly more forgiving against solid objects!
There are many RenaultSports with well over 100k on the clock on here, I can think of a few, all of which have had a fairly hard life. A well serviced modern car should easily see 200k. This 100k fear is silly, it's not 1960.
Iain, I'd have said £3.5 - £3750. Remember this is ClioSport and as such; a)everybody loves destroying the value of their own cars and b)everyone is scared of a car above 50k.
Check its got a decent history and crack on!
:D
5k on mine now and still no problems. Keep messing around with the ride height as well as I go between 15" and 16" wheels and new an old tyres. Back down to 53 at the front with only slight scrubbing round the works multi storey.
The back is an arse to adjust, but jack the car up and loosen the...
Re: Possible new splitter found!!
If you use self tappers then just drill a pilot hole or 10 through the splitter and screw through into the bumper. Easy peasy.
Re: Possible new splitter found!!
Gotta love the Crawley Down Group.
The original Renault splitter is a hard plastic anyway, hence they break so easy. I don't mind at £10 + vat a pop, but not at £100+ a go.
Many thanks to the original poster for finding this!
Re: Possible new splitter found!!
Will be ordering asap. That's a bargain. The 2 different part numbers are concerning though. Be interesting to see if they're the same part! Let us know Steve.
