fuel pressure i havent a clue about but theres no signs of the pump struggling.
as i said , glows warm up, starts instant on the key. i'll get i video if it helps ?
the old engine did leave s**t loads of codes to do with cylinder possition timing ect.
this engine hasnt flagged any faults up apart from the boost warning which turned out to be a lose clip on the IC
it starts straight away no prolonged cranking.
injectors all flow and solinoid tested as soon as i got them brand new from renault.
timing is all spot on, cam locked in possition, crank key in position and fuel pump lined up with bolt.
it litterally on sound like a hammer under load and...
its a 100 lump with 80 injectors and HP pump.
no crap around the injectors, all torque'd down to 30nm
they sound like someone tapping on metal with a punch tool. almost like air instead of fuel in them.
theres f**k all air in the fuel pipes, it starts runs and never conks out, just rattles...
dave , in the next week or two, me and dan are going to have to do your car. mines going in for paint in 2 weeks so that only leaves 4-5 days to sort niggles out for css.

christ sake dont use anything lower than 1000. you'll be there all day trying to take 700-800 gritt marks out.
1000-1500-2000 and polish up

1500-2000- 3000 grit rhino ( sp ) disks.
good compound and finishing polish and your done.
for the money tho, just buy the 3m kit.

put a video up of what its doing when you try starting it, ie camera on thedash clocks so we can see what lights it flags up, im thinking it will bring up - STOP/ engine with stop symbol and eml light if trying to crank to long.

i've read somewhere that chip explained in short something to do with running in a boosted F4R, will try dig it out.
i would think its abbout the same as any other engine really, let it warm up and dont rag the b****cks off it. few load runs up hills ect
hi all, my new engine as been in for a while now, its got a new pump and injectors but the thing that's been playing on my mind for a while, is the injectors are rattle'n tapping loud under loud, plus it struggles to give power after 3k rpm

all the same, genuine is usually the best to go for, if the heads been skimmed to much or crap, a decompression gasket will be needed.
I would seriously try feeding the pump direct from a jerry can and then try fire it up.
have you put the injector plugs on the right ones, 3-4 are easy to mix...
iv always bled every dci iv touched from the bleed screw on the front pipe, ran up to temp and topped up/ bled again as required, with the heaters on.
first time I ever did it, I didn't bleed the system properly and an airlock happened caulsing engine management lights and it cutting out
you need to purge the system. prime the pump with the primmer bulb on the fuel filter. pump that for a few mins, spray a little easy start into the air feed and try get it to start then
