are they both dci's? the little mk2 has 1.4 16v bullets :s

wash them and give them a good old polish up. nothing really needed to be done.
i know it sounds daft but after you've done that, spray some wd40 around or smear a tiny tiny bit of vasilen ( sp ) n the relay pins.
batter off when you do it, unless you want something managment wise going f**k up
those lights sometimes wont fault code , but its certainly fuel/boost related
millage is a big indicator on wether the injectors have had it or not. fuel pumps are hit and miss, some fial and some live on for hundreds of thousands miles.
go for the cheapest fixs ( trys ) first. fuel filter...
as above how the hell do I do this without getting it wrong and destroying the engine?.
the crank face has no key way to get the flywheel allined. so guessing the tdc is like playing pass the parcel with grenades lol

that was done not long ago with a new thermo stat. its not done it since yesterday which is worrying to think it might just stop nextime without warning
having a wierd issue, the engine randomly becomes un responsive and looking at the dials , the revs bounce up and down aroind 1500rpm. it doesnt cut out but takes a while ( 10seconds or less ) to go back to normal revs.
also the temp needle bobs up and down quick.
guessing this can be a...
this is why i would rather go through all the effort of fine blasting a wheel and them flatting/painting them.
paint booths cannot make the wheels hot enough to do that , but hot enough to set the paint.
