Some people show there experience and knowledge they think they have by spouting utter crap on threads such as this one, clearly missing technical points due to there such awesome know how that they dont have!!! It gets on my tits something chroinc. From what i've read on here, Chip puts the...
Firstly, The RS2 is not my product. I have/had nothing to do with the design or making of ANY part of the RS2.
I fit and Map the RS2 for some customers that are in my area.
Another thing I would like to make VERY clear is that I am not doubting Henk as a Mapper or slagging of his work AT ALL...
That was me smearking in the passenger seat. We had just collected it from having a custom exhaust fabricated.
We've been out and mapped it tonight, and it must of gained 20bhp or so.
I always enjoy having a little play with other 172's And yours looked very smart mate, what has been done to it?
Quick fix for this is,
Look at the throttle buterfly, loosen off the 2 torque head screew. Don't take them out, just losen them a little bit. Then pull the black part that the trottle cable wraps round outwards towards the bulkhead. Re tightnen the screws with that bit pulled out. Done
I must...
Our Ph1 we bought 14days ago with a snapped timing belt has already had, New valves, Head gasket, Genuine Renault Timing belt Kit, Genuine aux belt kit, New front shocks, New discs and pads, New front ball Joints and..............
We've done 1400 miles in it. :)
It will be more than that! The turbo, exhaust mani, Omex and head machining come to that! I'd like to see it in the £2500-£3000 bracket. I don't think that's too expensive considering the torque and bhp gains! A good ITB set up and cams will cost very close to if not more than that for no where...
Yes. We're trying to work it out to keep the costs low. It should be a 260bhp convertion when finalised. You could run more but best to keep it there for reliability reasons.
Yes, sadly it is! No we don't sell there ECU's. We sell Omex! This ecu is currently the bain of the whole car and when the Omex is delivered next week there will be a ceremonial burning of the V4 in the workshop yard.
So today we got the turbo clio up and running, and I decided to map in the launch control/ Anti lag.
Let's just say the noise is addictive! The videos and poop as they were on my phone, but turn your speakers up and listen to the beautiful beautiful noise! :)
Not at all mate, If somethings s**t i'll say so and don't sell it. Bit like the Mtec standalone ECU i have on the turbo'd clio we built, Its crap and i would never sell one to a paying customer as there are much better units avalible for the same money.
The whole mapping thing is a big problem...
Its not s**t at all, they do exsactly what they were designed to do. There just a wear and tear item that happens to be expensive. The torque limmiters are in place to stop piss takers kicking the hell out of the cars day in day out. I have mapped many of these and NONE have ever had a clutch issue!
She's running good mate, We've done around 2000miles in it now. The Mtec ECU s**t itself and an injector driver burnt out holding injectors 2&3 open witch was a kick in the nuts. We re checked everything and it seems the driver was faulty. To be honnest I'm not the biggest fan of the Mtec ecu...
