All I’ve ever read is that snr make the oem bearings and they’re the only ones that last…
They are in the Renault boxed discs, snr (obviously) and the brembo’s apparently.
Did some background research with some people in the trade I know who say it is the same unit just reboxed. Disc has never been the problem really with rears, it’s the bearings that are crap as you well know.
The bearing is the same anyway so that’s one thing :)
Can get the snr ones on autodoc for peanuts in comparison to the Renault boxed discs
I’ve just got a set myself. They’re always running offers. I paid like £40 odd quid a disc the other week

Hi guys,
Thinking about getting an RS tuner. Seems like a good idea considering I’m balls deep in this project,
Website has three versions:

Which ones the one to get?????
Am I right in thinking that you have to buy modules...
💩 let’s see how this goes. If it’s still s**t I may just bin the manifold and get one of those sexy b******s from pure
In for a penny in for a pound n’all that 🫠
Ffs, yeah. Mines not got that gasket. Although I absolutely bukkakied it in sealant earlier. So I’d be surprised. But I guess it’s an obvious place to start right?!
It’s got vbands mate. All bar the link pipe to the manifold which is spring flanged. I stripped that, cleaned it, sealed it and tightened it today
Maybe it is this though. Who knows. It is right by the gear selector. So could be coming up from there I guess
Yeah I’ll do the same
Unless it is as mentioned by underhill, the seals around doors and more specially the boot are shite and the vacuum from the rear is bringing the fumes in.
Who knows. You’d think you’d hear a leak or smell it around the engine bay wouldn’t you
Maybe it is normal dude. Doesn’t strike me as being ideal though.
I’m sure I’ve been in decatted 182’s that don’t though.. wonder if there’s a leak further up perhaps.
Maybe? It doesn’t smell like fuel like race cars do though.
It smells of fumes. Gives me a bit of a head ache at times. I’d wondered if it was the decat, but it’s weird it’s bad at motorway speeds etc and with the windows down at speed it’s pretty strong.
See, mine doesn’t smell in the cabin on start up. Only when driving. And if I open the windows it’s loads worse. I guess as it’s vacuuming it in. It’s at its worse at motorway speeds….
Bit of a head ache of a day.
Discs didn’t turn up until lunch time so didn’t bother with the rear brakes. Will do those next weekend.
Rotated all the wheels. They sound fine, but pretty sure one of the bearings is knackered as the noise goes away whilst driving under brakes or when turning...
This cars getting on my tits now.
Resealed all the exhaust joints from the manifold back and it still smells of burnt fuel in the cabin.
I’ve now got a knock when pulling away. So am ordering mounts as we speak.
I took the steering wheel off and checked the angle sensor. Put it on the yellow...
Went up to the unit today. Whilst idling the cars already on EML light started flashing. It goes off when you boot it though.
Any ideas ?
Car is decat so obvs the light is usually on steady anyway
Exchange yeah.
Was hoping to swap them over this weekend but the snr discs didn’t turn up in time annoyingly!
I’m happy with the calipers. They look spot on
Luckily, my favourite tool. It rubbed on the stock shocks with Cooksports tbf and I'm not crazy low. It defo rubs more now. And on both sides. Sounds hideous when I tip in to a corner at any pace.
