Yeah, can be done, small backing plate suitable for the sanding disks
Never ventured into DA polishers so I don't know exactly what's needed.
Unless you mean, use the 3M kit and then polish back up with the DA, which in that case , you'll be fine :)
Da as in a air driven body shop sander or Dual action polisher. Yes it can be done.
Forgot to add lol, that kit works wonders, paintwork looks nice and glossy to!
Chester meet is the only one I'm going to til CSS. Need to puts some hours in for a new engine, expensive :(
Still , shall be fun going Chester with my tools and a friggin bottle of easystart lol
Surely has to be some kits out there, it could work.
Im only saying the wiring is different, as some one on here has a 197, retro fitted 200 rear
lights ( same as yours ) and had to adapt the wiring to suit.
I'd put it down to either what you said, basically was polished up on colour coat, or very s**t lacquer used.
Had a Z4 come I'm for a bonnet respray. Looked just like that, the lacquer failed, and was very cheaply done
Get the engine running and undo the little bleed screw slightly, will flush any trapped air out. Can't remember if it's better to do when warm or cold tho
