My partners Abarth is for sale if anyone is interested. Nice little car which wants for nothing.
Full service history including the non compulsory service between the first service and the 18k.
Garaged from new and I honestly don't think anyone has ever sat in the back...
Yep
Known many people go there and say "alright if you like hairpins". It's also a bit of a sh*t to get to iirc.
The mountain roads through Switzerland are much, much better.
My brother in laws old 172 cup's brakes used to rust up like mad, as mentioned above the rears are hardly used and usually looked like they'd been raised from the titanic.
He actually found the standard Renault ones even worse than the Brembo.
It's just something you'll have to come to terms with.
If you can find any paperwork for it, try and keep the bike as original as possible
I imagine the original colour is the same as mine which is a sparkly red anyway.
76-77 for sure chaps and not the original paint I would suggest hence the missing ignition emblem.
Lovely old things with bags of character. Clutch that feels like you're compressing granite, brakes that are more for display purposes only and an electric start that to this day I have never...
Not to hijack the thread chaps but I've done a fair amount of work on these old bikes and currently have a 67 bonny as well as the Commando and Panigale
If anyone needs any advice or help with these old bikes feel free to ask.
Happy to help where I can. @Pat 182 also plays with old British bikes..
I agree with this entirely !
It does look like it needs some work though! But it'd be worth it because in its current condition it won't be worth a huge amount.
Old British bikes are gaining in value a lot.
Heart broken for you buddy
Sorry for your losses !!
I have an 850 commando also, if you need any advice at any point let me know. Also if you do decide to sell let me know..
All I'll add to this is that when I took pzeros off of the abarth and stuck on some pilot sports it was like a different car.
I found the Pirelli noisy and lacking in feel in general.
I know many of the roads in that video, to be honest most of the roads in Kent and London are full of complete grade A c*nts.
I get more trouble with people when I'm in the car than on my bike thankfully. Probably due to the time of day I go out.
Too many idiots on the road. It's often not...
