You could do it yourself however blending it in so it looks like nothing has been done is the hard part! Chances are it'll stick out like a donkeys dick if you give it a bash esp if yo've never painted before. Painting is a bit of an art, leave it to the pro's. However if your not bothered about...
As much I am for people working on their owns cars and trying things for themselves, it doesnt add up to do it yourself. I'd like to think i'm competant enough to tackle most jobs but here is my main point when it comes to the f4r. To do it yourself, your are going to be spendiing over £400...
Im not very clue'd up on photography and just started getting into it. I was prepared to spend around the £500 mark for all the gear to get me started. Off i went to jessops for a play with various cameras, I deliberatly never took money so i could have a think and no impulse buy.
First...
I can say my 182 will be my first and last renault. Dont get me wrong I enjoy it when its not acting the goat. Are you dead set on renault or would you consider other cars on the market...
Someone should have sent a PM rather than dealing on an open forum. lol might have got themselves a bargain! When i say someone, i mean absinthe/snakebite
As above blasting would be the best bet, failing that go down to screw fix and they sell rotary wire brushes that you can put in the end of a drill etc. They are quite good for getting rid of rust etc
I cant belive your running a performance car on gash fuel! My car is standard and doesnt run worth a shiit on 95, stutters and coughs. (put a £5er in to get me to a shell garage) Put momentum or vpower in and its cured instantly!
Pressed too much? The tensioner didnt even compress! Im not daft enough to try and force something further than its meant to go. The 3/8 drive rotated in the square hole and forced it to snap.
I used a 3/8 extension and snapped the bottom clean off the new tensioner. I made one to the exact size. Had to strip down and rebuild the old tensioner body with all the new parts.
10mm x 10mm iirc
Mine fitted ok to the cat initially and i used an old clamp. Its started to blow at high rpm recently so ive ordered a new clamp. Its seems to be a common issue but IMO that type of exhaust join is a shite idea, if i have any more bother i'm getting a flange welded on to the cat and exhaust.
Been a while since i updated. Gave her a full service last week, new (and correct) plugs, oil, filter and cleaned the itg.
Purchased myself a set of cup turinis something which I had been after for a while. Fitted them to the car and now im not too sure if I like them. My 182 wheels were badly...
hi and congrats on your new purchase. Prepare to spend a lot to gain substantial HP, however simple mods such intake and exhaust will free things up plus a good service. Ktec are down your direction I think and they offer tuning packages etc
i'll keep my eyes open for you. Mines standard ride height and my splitter catches on some, only good thing is the top floor is good for working on and washing the car.
aye the one that magically gets that huge single space on the bottom floor! I long for the day when I steal the space from him!
Mines is the BG cup packed 182 on silver turini's.
