i had a similar issue with my ek9, turned out to be a shagged exhaust manifold gasket (block to manifold). Although if the car was right up to temp the ticking became really quiet. Noisey as fook on cold starts!
Im collecting a BG 182 next week and the wheels are in need of a refurb. Im after turini's in the long run but for the time being im going to clean up the standard ones.
Im looking for ideas on a colour change. Im thinking bronze!! Not gold though! Maybe the same shade as rays/volk ce28n's...
I rang a few renault dealeships and the best price so far is £660. The woman on the phone said originally £774 but we can do it for £660, then continued to say, if you get it cheaper then ring us back and we will see if we can match it. I think a bit of haggling is in order.
Id imagine an engine would be rather hot after climbing through the gears to 140+, I'd also imagine you would struggle to reach those speeds if the engine isnt up to temp with the lower rev limiter?
Has anyone had a cambelt fitted recently by renault? And what sort of price did you pay?
I've got my hands on a clean 182 and payed a good price for it. But its overdue its belts. I would rather take it to a specialist but dont want to risk driving the distance as i live in central scotland!
Its honestly the other way about, havent seen a thing north of the border that takes my fancy! Although im working in in norfolk from the 25-29 april, if im still car-less i may be in touch!
