dannyh172 - totally valid point. Ive never seen so much stigma surrounding belts on a car!
Oh and the belts were done with genuine parts if that makes much diff.
The way i see it is, as long as there are new belts fitted they're not going to fail albeit maybe not been done correctly. I've made a cheeky offer that would allow for the belts to be done again. Watch this space...
Ive been on the hunt for a 172 or a 182 for the past few weeks but nothing has really stood out for me.
But ... I've seen a 172 thats caught my eye. Its been in the same family for 5 years. From what i can tell its not been owned by a big car enthusiast, but looked after all the same. 58k on...
Whenever i do something silly the feds always seem to be there!
I was once coming home from playing ice hockey when i had my s14a and it was in wee hours of the morning, I was giving it some big beans through some local towns, not a soul to be seen. So after arriving near my house in a little...
Im starting to regret joining here for these sort of replies. Im sure blondie is well aware of who is to blame and how the system works! "post photos on CS so people can make you feel worse"
I had a car in getting insurance work done after someone reversed into it. The courtesy car company rang me up saying they had ran out of manuals but they had some autos, so i said i'll take an auto if its nice... Later on a brand spanky new golf TDI pulled up, thing was fully loaded with all...
I'd imagine they will have a look at it! Something sticks in my mind about a 30 day warranty on any car?? Dig your heels in and dont take no for an asnwer if they start giving excuses!
Maybe worth getting the tracking done, I've felt this way before with a car and regained a bit of confidence after the tracking was done. Although i might be talking shite having not owned a clio and have no experience of them ... Tyres and wear pattern can alter the way a car feels on the road...
I would have said ricer was japanese with wings and silly bumpers, bit ott. Ricer is a yank saying.
I thought stealth was modified but to the untrained eye looks as it did when leaving the factory.
No idea what 'scene' is....
Thanks for the replies and opinons!
I'm more into spirited driving, A road fun! I drive 60 miles on an A road to work :), goodbye fuel economy!
Id quite like air con and the like, and the leather seats. So im ruling out the ph2 172 cup. I think i need to go test drive some friends cars!
I'm currently selling my vRS and whittled my new car selection down to a RS clio.
But here is where my problem starts. I originally was looking for a 197, went to test drive a few and was impressed but if i bought a 197 i wouldnt be left with much cash to play with!
So i started looking at...
Im not sure if ive missed it but has anyone mentioned 500 abarth grey?
Seen it on a abarth racer the other week and it stunning but weirdly subtle too!
I previously owned an ek9 and it was immaculate and most importantly the recaro bolsters were spot on with no wear. I used to make excuses to not pick one of my mates up because he was a bit chubby and his arse squashed my lovely bolsters! lol The car was written off by the next owner :(
