You'll find though that closed filters often give better gains than the ones shown in this test - whether it be a Viper, BMC or Maxogen. You'll also find that the "open" type filters have been shown to loose power on the Clio because of the lack of cold air space under the bonnet.
Its a shame its not been fitted properly for a fair test. Mine feels as if it has more midrange when fitted correctly - and the noise is worth it alone.

James i'd buy it for spares, its probably quicker than waiting for British Leyleand's parts department to mix the paint ;)

As for fitting, think of the most fiddly thing in the world, then double it - its a right b*****d to do.
I managed to do mine without removing the arch liner completely. Just be prepared for hands that are scrapped to bits!

If its the later, its probably mine, I have huge for sale signs in all the windows. Was this in Tunbridge Wells?
