I love my 200, yes I am getting rid of it this year, but that is because I don't use it & when I do it's only to get to work, which is a waste IMO. The suspension I will say is doing my head in with the state of the roads, surprised I haven't got shell shock tbh.

Engines in fairness are cheap enough to replace if you can do the work yourself. If it was me & I knew I looked after it I'd leave it. But that's just me.

This. Scoobs don't tend to hold their money like evos do but eitherway that's too cheap IMO.

Speak to Adam @ Renault Wolvs who's a trader on here. ECP do use different suppliers but their research is terrible. Pretty bad reputation in the trade, but very cheap which is why people use them.

I think if we are fair we'd say they are both different cars, but the Megane is faster, better looking, has a proper gearbox, is more comfortable, more practical, this is all IMO ofcourse but I imagine most would agree.

Anyone know if the 197/200's have Gearbox breathers/venting to the box?

I have driven one, they have grown on me a bit, still couldn't work out the difference between the models though. Asked the salesman if it was actually the RS, he then went round the front of the car to check himself haha. Other than that, the interior is a fair bit better than old & the engine...

Good luck welding one back in unless you can find one that's been cut out with sleeves attached to the silencer. Some have tried, I'm sure you could get it on, but not sure on how good of a job it'd be.

I got two tins of tyre spunk & a jack with mine. Not that it's much use without a spare. P.S. If the centre silencer has been removed it'll be pretty obvious looking underneath.

When you say it can't have done that much damage. I'd imagine your engine oil looks like marmite. Probably worth flushing IMO.

If it's got no air filter, get one in asap! & change the oil!
