hi everyone, i have sanded and plastic primered my engine cover today and i am now stuck what colour to paint it, either satin black to make the bay look tidy or go all out and paint it purple like other parts of my car to set it all off. opinions please :) few pics of current boring state:

Just had a word with my mate who is the other owner of the car ( joint owning ) he said if we can, the engine will be bike carb'd aftermarket cams, ported head and a custom exhaust build. Now that to me sounds like a load of technical stuff. I warent the possibilities that an aftermarket ecu...

Yes i see your point, i have very basic skills when it comes to engines, i can build one but i am not a person for all the timing stuff. How off will the timing be with bike carbs and ecu ? I know it will need mapping. But my knowledge only goes so far

Hmm but would a 1.2 mk1 have all those gizmo's? I personally wanted to build the 1.2 engine into an oldschool non electronic ran engine. On bike carbs.

think we are going for R1 bike carbs. So will need a egnition only ecu. What makes are they?

The car is going to be entered into the 1.2 engine car class if that helps
