You've gone to loads of effort to make your car look nice with the wheels and coilovers etc, i wouldnt spoil it to save yourself cleaning the wheels all the time.

Im not a massive fan of the 430 scud either, seems like a pointy backwards step from the 360 cs in some ways (which to me was ferrari perfection).

Yup, i got that much. But his reasoning seems to be that its costing him too much to run :S
I cant see how running two cars, with the 1.2 only being a bit chepaer to run than the 182 was, will be any cheaper. Or how he's getting 15-20mpg in a clio. Ive managed that in a tuned cup, on a days...

What?! Not at all, theres no need to push and drive daft to be faster on the road due to skill. If anything it will make you safer. Smoothness is the name of the game.
Whereas trying to make your car 'faster', and not being bothered about the other bits suggests that safety and skill arent a...
Lol, 0.3 of a second. Which could very easily have been down to more experience on the strip. A better reaction time. Or the 40kg weight loss.

From experience you can spend megabucks, and end up with a car running similar...
Paint the whole lot white, then use grip tape (like skateboard stuff) in front footwells if you're worried about grip. Or that chequer plating stuff.
You'll probably want some form of rubber mats under your feet though, you dont realise how much you feel through your feet without.

Harsh luck mate, easy repair though, damage could have been far worse. Things like this make you appreciate the car all the more :)
