Ive had the same mate. A friend who owned a caterham r300 was surprised how well a 172 cup kept up with him on morning runs.
I can imagine the 200 is a beast through the backroads!
If only renault would let me test drive one (or had one anywhere you could test drive) i might be convinced to...
Im considering the same thing. My bora needs new shocks this week, going to cost me a small fortune. Honda are doing good deals at present and a friend is getting a ctr gt... hmmmm (although id prefer a 200 cup)
I can see where you're coming from redeyejedi. I think some people on cs are just generally bitter. Been flicking through the forum this morning, and the amount of negative posts across the board is massive!
Id go for it if i was you :)
From your original post, it seems that 10.5k for your R27 against 17k for a cup isnt great. Some dealers are knocking cups out at a little over 14k with a few options, better to try and see one of these and see what part ex they offer you.
But yes, if you like new cars, and not having to...
A better plan... remove sideskirts and rear spoiler, smooth bump strips, remove tints, lower it massively on ronal turbo's or bbs splitties and that would make a fantastic euro machine. Debadge, silvervisions, and fit standard mirrors.
Most of the hard work is already done, and done to a good...
Lol! I know exactly what you mean. Ive lost so much money on cars over the years.
Id be rubbish as a car dealer, i have no interest in making a profit on them and ive made some awful buying decisions in my time.
Didnt look so from the way it was parked, and was a little back street unofficial jobby, but could have been mate. I was working so didnt get time to stop.
First ive seen privately on the roads, looked good :)
Just ignore them :s You're having more fun and thats what the cars about.
Not everyone buys a car to drive fast down a twisty country road hunting limit points, so live and let live.
