I wasn't in the know, I just fiddled and worked it out.
Take the ashtray out, pop the central locking button out, find out which wire in the central locking unit is live, and which is earth.
Slice a little bit of wire off each (but not the whole way through) and attach the LED's, remembering...
Your LED strips, what colour(s) are the two wires on them?
Also, what year, and model clio do you have?
I removed the ashtray, pulled out the central locking button, and wired it to the underside of that.
Grey was earth, and blue (I think) was live.
Just been on the phone to a mod shop, apparantly you can only change the dial cluster colours, not the heating control etc colours as they are reunaly only bulbs and come as the same bog standard colour.
Hello, me again, casually asking for help.
(I'm useless with cars, but if anyone needs IT/programming help, I'm ya man!)
I want to change the all the LED's for the speedometer, rev counter, clock, aircon controls e/t/c, basically the whole lot from the orange to blue.
How would I go about...
Finished it in the end.
Wired it up to the "Remote lock" button, created wiring to make it reach, and used plugs so I can unplug them to change them/remove them whenever necessary without having to unwire the whole lot.
Thanks for all the help/info you've given me.
Here is the finished product;
If I take the centre console out and take a picture, could someone tell me what wires I wire it too for the lighter?
Because that lights up when the headlight does.
Recently changed tyres, and checked engine to make sure everything was all okay.
Since then, when I unlock the car I get all lights flash once, however when I llock the car (with fob) I don't get any lights flashing.
The button inside which locks the car, the unlock button is illuminated...
Welcome!
If you are only 20, google;
Co op young drivers insurance.
It will be dirt cheap, but they do fit a box in your car, only so if you have a crash, they can see if you were speeding at the time and wont have to pay you.
Yeah, the heads been off.
There is a slight movement on the rev counter without any gas being applied.
We thought maybe because the pistons are cleaned there is no coating but needed it to be verified.
Got a clio, basically, its shaking far more than it should be.
Ticks over beautifully, shakes and shakes, like really shakes, like being on a fairground ride.
Sounds like its going to cut out but it never does.
If you leave it running, it slowly gets better but still shakes too much than it...
