my dock now has Finder & Recycle bin. That is it. CMD+L for launchpad and i choose the app i want .. all i see in my dock are the apps which are open

How do i navigate in finder? If i switch it on in the trackpad setting it removes my safari swiping i want 2 finger safari 3 for finder and 4 for windows

lightroom is better than aperture for that - sounds like thats what you need tbh

99% of people will be fine with Lightroom or Aperture. In fact for what most people need iPhoto is enough

Lightroom & Aperture are pretty much the same - its down to preference of layout and design. I have both but only use LR CS5 and PS are a different dragon - completely overkill for 90% of people

Most people have an external drive anyway for back ups - my personal data and photos are quite valuable to me so i would be devastated if i lost them

Agree that no disc drive is a bit stupid. As Dan said - ALOT of people use them for media - i was going to but now won't be :@ When do you think ATV3 is coming out?

settings - users and groups - login items - show fast switching .. turn it off

personally the new scrolling is epic .. makes the iPhone/ipad/mac experience all tie together the more the 3 sync the better

i personally thing the gestures are epic. the only thing i wish i could do was 2 finger swipe between finder windows .. then it would be perfect

Re: Lion to be released this evening? in answer to your question - personally i would do a CCC backup before installing it to be safe - and then once you have done that just install it. When i installed the GM it literally updated the OS and when it had done everything was still where i left it
